"50 pounds of strawberries will make about 50 jars of strawberry jam, 4 pies, as many strawberries as anybody wants to top vanilla ice cream, and snitching fresh strawberries for about 11 people." - Erik
I feel very full, and very satisfied. God is good, all the time.
So, Aaron and I arrived in St. Louis late last night and found that our sister-in-law Joy received the 2007 Outstanding Graduate Student award from the Missouri Speach-Language-Hearing Association. You tell 'em, Joy!
The next bit of news we found out was that our brother Erik graduated from Covenant Semenary suma cum laud! Party people!
Join me in celebrating the academic gifts the Lord has so graciously given to Erik & Joy.
Perhaps the really important news about today was that Erik prepared for his graduation by taking us all out to pick strawberries, and between the seven of us we picked about 50 pounds of strawberries. Pie, anybody?

So, is anyone in my group of select readers interested and able to take a week or so at the end of July and meet me in Kyiv, Ukraine, to teach English at an English Club for a week in the mountains of western Ukraine?
I received an email from a missionary relative of mine who is short 4 to 6 English teachers, and am hoping and planning to go myself. If you're a friend of mine and interested in this, shoot me an email and I'll fill you in on what details I know.

In other local news, I ran in the King of the Mountain 4 Mile Road Race on top of Lookout Mountain this past Saturday. The race ran from the Mountain Maze up to Point Park, where they had a bagpiper playing "Scotland the Brave" in a kilt, and then back to the Mountain Maze. The run was beautiful, especially being able to look down on Chattanooga while rounding the corner in the park. I ran it in 30:36 on my watch (30:44 on the official race clock), so I finished 4th in my gender and age-group (20-29), and I had a good time.
