leaving Rochester, MN

So, I've been in Rochester, MN, this past weekend at the L'Abri conference on biblical authority, and right now my mom and I are in the Rochester airport terminal awaiting the arrival of our plane to take us to Chicago--its 11:41, the plane is to depart at 12:10, and its not even here yet, but I don't think they're behind schedule--its just that the Rochester airport is tiny.

Hopefully in the next few days I'll post a PDF of the notes I took during the conference. I've got about 50 pages of notes, and want to do some minimal editing before posting them.

One thing I will say, though: If you haven't been to a L'Abri conference, you should take the next opportunity and go to one. Rochester is a great place for a winter conference.

:-)

Wednesday night. After driving home from church, I've come in and settled down to put together MissionNotes, a weekly summary of a letter from one of our missionaries which fills the back page of our bulletin each Sunday. No one else is home, and I'm sitting at my desk, eating a homemade chocolate truffle from my sister-in-law, writing.

In the morning my mom and I will be flying up to the L'Abri Fellowship annual conference in Rochester, Minnesota, where the forcast highs are about what the nighttime low temperatures have been here in Chattanooga. The conference theme is "Biblical Authority in a World Adrift." I plan on taking notes on my laptop, and will post them after the conference for any who wish to see them.

In other news, my lost cap has been found. The good folks at the Tivoli had it in their lost and found items, and my dad picked it up for me. Yeah--and I also discovered that its actually got a black herringbone pattern on it. I don't know how many years I've worn it and not consciously noticed the herringbone pattern.

Well, I've gotta get packed. And then I'm gonna upgrade my laptop operating system to Tiger (Mac OS 10.4).

i'm not lost, but my hat is

yup, i lost my hat. went to hear the cso last night at the tivoli, and at some point while exiting the building i lost my hat, because when i got out of my car it was gone.

if the tivoli calls me back saying they've got a lost and found and i find the hat i'll be happy. if not, i'm gonna have to go buy a replacement.

the last thing i lost at the tivoli was my handel's messiah cd liner notes, which i took with me to a messiah performance my freshman year at covenant. so now my cd case only has the program notes from that concert in it.
