Tag der Deutschen Einheit
Froeliche Tag der Deutschen Einheit! Happy Day of German Unification! 28 years ago today, East and West German reunited.
(Sorry I haven't fixed commenting yet here. Email me if you have a comment. I'll get to it when I have time: life takes precedence over digital reality for me.)
construction
My blog is still in process, as you can tell. Bear with me--I'm updating it in little bits and pieces.
Also soon to be under construction is the new VW plant here in Chattanooga over at Enterprise South. I wonder if we'll get anything like the transparent factory VW has in Dresden, Germany? http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1837641
what a mess!
Please excuse the awful look of my blog. In my attempt to restore commenting, I inadvertently deleted my style-sheet and the fonts got all messed up, and then when I tried to fix it I uploaded my old style-sheet, which isn't the one to fit with my upside-down Mondrian theme.
Sorry folks. As you can tell, my blog doesn't get much in the was of quality time maintaining it.
Email me if you're wanted to leave a comment.
no comment
I'm not quite sure why, but during Covblogs' recent upgrade I lost the comment feature on my blog. Hopefully I'll get it figured out soon, but I've got some other work to do first.
an unscientific survey
Just today I decided to begin conducting an unscientific survey with just one question: "What do you think about global warming?" The first guy I asked was sitting at a table outside a seminar in downtown Chattanooga, and his answer to the question was, "I don't." The next person, a manager at a coffee shop, said "I'm glad there are smart people dealing with it, because it may be important be important, but all I've got time for is recycling." The barista there replied, "I think we need to be more proactive than the manager--we've gotta do things to change our energy consumption."
So, what do you think about global warming?
