papers... hmm.
'Sometimes I'm a huge panda, floating lazily down the stream of life, and sometimes I'm just a nasty old leek rotting between the couch cushions.' --John Stott

I have writers block. That's all there is to it; I know this is the case because the only things I care to write at the moment are my somewhat-irrelevant stream-of-consciousness blatherings about having writers block. I just can't concentrate. My paper is for Modern Literary Criticism with Dr. Jim Wildeman, and I am supposed to "personally interact" with Terry Eagleton and Louise Rosenblatt. Ah well, maybe I can 'do it tomorrow.' Can we say Satan, anyone? Get thee behind me! I just need a bottle of whiskey... no, I mean a coke, with... vodka. Yess.... NO! Come to think of it, mesh once said of his sip that he could concentrate on it much better after he'd had a few. I bet that's true. Just imagine arguing for 'Jack Daniels as a study aid' on the WCSB site (Wittenberg Coalition for 'Senseless Blathering'). Somehow I'm sure steele and zachtodd will have something to say about this.

well if you insist. I do agree actually that it's often easier to concentrate with a soothing, nerve calming drink. Just make sure it doesn't get into a couple of soothing, nerve-calming drinks that make it hard to stand still when you're trying to pee.

Of course in one of my Wildeman classes we had rumballs. mmm that'll help you think.

How can I turn down this invitation? Hehe. . .

To be honest, I keep my drinking down to very specific occasions. For example, when someone on our flat has a birthday we always celebrate and there is always a pretty good amount of alcohol (read: LOTS). On those occasions I will drink, though I've only overdone it once. Other than that I hold myself to the occasional beer with dinner or something.

However, I have discovered (as Mesh did) that many of my study problems begin to disappear after a Morgans and Coke (a drink I am extremely fond of these days). Jack and Coke is just as good, but I prefer the flavor of the Morgans. The key, of course, is to make it just one (or maybe two if the night is young) Morgans and Coke. More than that and your ideas may start to lose their coherence.

Though I have always wondered what it would be like to write (or attempt to write) a paper whilst drunk. If nothing else it would be incredibly amusing the next day.
