About Thursday Travesty or Triumph

In case you are new to Thursday Travesty or Triumph, here is brief explanation of what's going on:

1. Each Thursday (skipping the ones where I'm busy), I present the internet with a compiled presentation on a landform or architectural event that I find intriguing or would like to share with you, my readers.
2. You, as a reader, evaluate the presented form and decide whether you believe that the form is a Travesty or a Triumph. You do not decide that it is somewhere in between. You do not need to have well-thought out reasons or even any reasons at all for your decision; the reaction is sufficient.
3. You post your reaction in the comments section.
4. I total up the comments (even if all of them are made by Funke) and post the results in the next TTT.

Thanks! The internet is only as fun as you make it!

About Current Event: Cowardly or Courageous

In case you are new to Current Event: Cowardly or Courageous?, here is an explanation of the format:

1. At random intervals, I will present a current event, both providing a brief explanation of the event and a link or two to further illuminate it.
2. I will then, in the extended entry, determine whether the event is Cowardly or Courageous. This dichotomy has been inspired by a segment on the BBC Radio's "World Have Your Say", in which they asked callers to comment on whether John Murtha's call for withdrawl was Cowardly or Courageous. I thought it was hilarious to reduce a current event to such a silly pair of options (especially in light of the most junior member of the House's comments), so I have been inspired to provide you with current events broken down simply.
3. However, I would encourage you to, if you so desire, state your opinion: Cowardly or Courageous? Please stick to the dichotomy.

User participation is what makes the interweb fun.

Even an ugly man

I just wanted to point out that this is my uncle-in-law. He really does look like Elvis, even when he's no trying to. Yes, my arm is still broken, and no, I do not intend to resume blogging until it has healed.
