deep south moment

I know, I know. Ohio, etc. really has something to complain about with a freak snowstorm when it's almost May.

But we here in s. Louisiana are having a moment. You see, a cold and rainy front is here today. It's actually down to 70 degrees. Brrr. People are walking around bundled in scarves and sweaters. Please, feel sorry for us! It's such a miserable, cold day! At least it's not too cold to lose the flip-flops.

Yeah, I don't want to hear about it, I had to bring out my wool coat on Sunday for church, and I was still cold, in late APRIL, in GEORGIA for pete's sake! And just in case anyone thinks that I am a sissy, my husband was wearing his wool coat also. It was in the 40s!!

Yeah, no pitty for any of you folks. Not only did we have snow flurries for 2 straight days we didn't have heat in our building either (I live in a residence hall). They turned the heat off last week because it had been warm enough for the right # of days and because it's steam heat it wouldn't have made a difference if they tried to turn it back on. So unfortunately I can't feel sorry for you. :)
