so far

So far this pregnancy is just like the last one. Thankfully I blogged extensively everything, because it was all so freaky, and I didn't have anyone else to talk to except the world wide web.

So First Couple of Weeks: find out I'm pregnant, woohoo! feel great! wow, this pregnancy thing is too easy!
Week 6: starting to feel nauseous, but eating lots of protein helps
Week 8: feel Permanently Naus. All the time. Nothing helps. Should not complain, because at least not throwing up, but even that sounds nice, because maybe it would relieve the nausea. Just a few more weeks to Second Trimester.
Much harder being the Mom when feeling permanently like crap. Especially when getting No Sleep because Boy had bad cold this week.
BUT at least I'm not writing papers and taking exams. Can't decide which is harder.

Final note: I'm a total wimp with the pregnant thing.

ETA: although I don't typically deny myself a good whine, I did mean for this post to sort be more about how this pregnancy is exactly like the last one. Here's another one for the checklist: Must Have Fresh Fruit Now! (I am taking vitamins, seriously) Kid must want the real stuff, too.

Hey J'net,
Li'l encouragement here, I am only a week or so ahead of you but I think that as you get closer to 10 weeks the nausea starts to decline. At least, for me I actually can get up and walk around and complete tasks now....Second Trimester is just around the corner. I know we're all different, tho! I hope you get some sleep....set your sights low :)

Jnet, you're not a wimp!! Your body is performing a monumental task--knitting together a little baby!!!

I was just looking back at one of my pregnancy books--and from the beginning to week 10, your baby grows from a few cells to the size of a small plum, complete with eyes, arms, legs, fingers, toes, and a heartbeat. Amazing!!

Hang in there...only a few more weeks and things should be looking up. Before you know it, you will have a baby in your arms. ;)

P.S. I sent you a couple of emails with no responses...need a reply about next week weekend. =)

Hang in there...but in the mean time, ginger tea with honey was a lifesaver to me with Addie's pregnancy. Also milk, which I would pound at 3 in the morning when I'd wake up to pee for the millionth time. It helped coat my tummy so it wasn't totally empty when I finally did roll out of bed in the morning.

I ate little pieces of candied ginger in the morning, which helped sometimes but not others. Just a suggestion. There's really not much to do except wait for Second Trimester Superwoman Syndrome to kick in! =) Sending love your way...

I was sick for seven months with my first pregnancy and up to the second trimester with the next two. Hope it gets better for you!

CONGRATS on baby # 2 - very exciting. I was looking at Bob & Michelle's new little one & thought I'd go to your blog - haven't read it for quite awhile but always enjoy reading your thoughts!!

Holy cow! I'm so behind on my blog reading that I didn't even know! Congratulations. That's awesome for you. I'm so sorry you're feeling sick--I remember really enjoying my first pregnancy and hating every minute of my second. It's much harder to cope with all the symptoms when you've got a little one to care for. I kept trying to remind myself that feeling sick meant that everything was happening as it should. Maybe you'll have a girl--girls supposedly make you really sick, which was true for both of mine. Also, I craved fruit and milk with my girls. I always drank milk in the middle of the night like Dawn said, but it was because I was always hungry and didn't have the energy to fix myself something to eat.
