sling 1, Toddler 0
I made a new sling today. My first one I gave to a friend. The second one wasn't really working out, and was a little on the too small side. So I whipped up Cozy Purple this afternoon. My very tired boy fell asleep within 2 minutes. I am about ready to hyperventhilate on how amazingly adorable he is.

awww...that is sooo sweet! Can't believe he still goes in one. Addie's a bit too active for one of those now.

Yea, slinging a toddler is definitely a different story. That's the nice thing about the pouch slings: easy-in-easy-out. But I find they're really great for the "witching hour", the hour when you want to make dinner, and they want to be held. Both are happy. Slinging toddlers is nice for traveling, too, just like when they were babies. My only regret is that I didn't figure out how to make a sling sooner.

I love it, Jeannette! I have and adore two slings and have used them from the newborn stage with our now-17-month-old. I just received a Moby Wrap- have you seen those? (www.mobywrap.com) I cannot wait to give it a good try. Having just slipped Claire in for a few minutes once I can already tell it's going to work out well! Looking it at closely though, I bet it'd be really easy to make for a seamstress such as yourself.
Your little man is quite adorable and that's a very sweet picture!

What a cute couple of kangaroos you guys are. =) I'll have to get pointers from you on making one of those when Kent gets too big for his Bjorn!

Aww! Ellis looks sooo comfortable! Too bad Loch doesn't have the patience for slings anymore (ever since he started walking, that's all he wants to do). I miss using a sling!
