any minute now
My Harry Potter book will get here!!!
We thought about going to Borders last night, and then were like--nah, don't want to stay up that late.
We always read HP out loud to each other. That way one doesn't know what's going to happen before the other. heh, heh.
The thing is, though, I'm going to be gone for most of the day and C is working for most of the day, so we might only barely get started!
I got onto my Google Reader this morning, and two people had already finished it! Gah!!
Anyway...getting excited!!!

Yeah, I'm sitting here expectantly, too. The boys went to the bookstore party last night, but they didn't buy another book. I was hoping....so while they were asleep this morning, I could get started before ours arrived. Oh, well, maybe I'd better get all the meals done for the day before it gets here.....

I'm embarrassed to say...I read the whole plot for the 7th book on Wikipedia. Isn't that weird? But there it was, ready and waiting for me, this morning. A lot quicker than reading Rowling, which I'm sure I'll do also. Sounds like her endless series of plot twists. And a half dozen things I should have remembered from previous books, but don't. Thankfully, Wiki has those handy little links, for the items I've forgotten.
Is that worse than reading Cliff Notes?

I remember reading your blog a while ago but I haven't kept up - too bad for me! I saw you linked on another blog this morning and I can't remember where LOL. Anyway - I am just starting HP7 too. My oldest son Buster was going to go to the bookstore party Friday night but the line was around the block so he came home. He babysat the younger boys for me yesterday so I could go to the bookstore by myself and buy it! HEAVEN. I sat in the coffee shop and read the first chapter. I totally made my day wonderful.
I feel like I have a lot in common with you because I come from an OPC family. We probably know some of the same people IRL!

I'm reading it aloud to Hubby and three of our boys. (T9 is not finished w/ HP 6, and stickler that he is for certain things, doesn't want to hear HP7 yet. I feel kinda sad, like he's missing out, but. . .)
We had some commitments the past two days, and so we're only on page 159. I'm hoping to put a serious dent in the book before bed tonight. Hubby is working weird hours next week and I DON'T want to read any spoilers and so am very anxious to finish asap!

Ha! We read HP aloud for the same reason! It is so hard not to read when Chris isn't around, but I have had good willpower so far. I hope his willpower is just as strong :)
