Great thing #2

The bath robe that I made out of old towels for Ellis. My plan is to dye it to freshen it up a bit. My plan is also to make matching slippers. I made up the pattern after cutting up an old thrift store sleeper. But it was actually pretty simple.

If I weren't driving to Virginia tomorrow, I would stay up uber-late to make them, like I have for the past few nights. But I'm too tired.

I'm outtie for tomorrow and Thursday retrieving my husband's grandmother 7 hours away in VA. Ellis and I are road-tripping 3 days before Christmas.

I'm beyond panicked. I'm to the Whatever stage.

That's an awesome project. I'm so impressed by your creations!

Hang in there about all the holiday stress. People, including Ellis, will understand if you don't get all of your ambitious things done. The plus side is that, if you don't finish by the 25th, you just get to extend Christmas a bit! Breathe, enjoy your holiday, and I'll see you Saturday!

I love this, very cool! I use those little bathrobes a TON in the summer at the pool. Stay on a lot better than a towel, especially for the squirmy baby types. Good luck with the drive. Think of it as an adventure, that's what Ellis will feel!

safe travels you brave soul!

Great robe, you are such a great Mama Jeannette! Hang in there, it's almost Christmas and then the rush will start to dwindle a bit! Have a safe trip! I've been enjoying your Christmas photos, they are wonderful!

So, Jeannette, I always get behind on blog readings and then one morning I will go and look and read everyone's again. So, looking at your last few entries I am SO IMPRESSED but not surprised by all the things you are making...dolls, bathrobes, slippers, etc., etc., etc. I wish we lived closer so you could teach me. A friend of mine, actually, after new year's is going to teach me how to crochet which I am so excited about. It seems like a good hobby that you can take anywhere easily.

Ellis is as cute as ever!!! Seeing all the fun things he is doing gets me excited for jack. He soon will be able to sit at the table and focus in on drawing or making cookies or whatever.

Merry Christmas! Though my communication stinks, know I love you and wish I could see you sometime.
