Prince of the night
I saw this at Dial m. What looks like about a 10yr old Vienna Choir Boy singing the "Queen of the Night Aria" from Mozart's opera, The Magic Flute.
They weren't kidding. This is astounding! But what's next? Career? Burnout? Vocal damage?
On the other hand, you kind of wonder if the kid did it, like any kid would try to conquer the soccer field or other such challenge.

That was fabulous! Reminds me of Charlotte Church, in that the young get exploited. Yeah, you wonder what he will do. But still, it's wonderful to see a boy who must love music so much. I loved watching his mouth change shape with different pitches. :) We don't hear much about the boy from England who sang for the Snowman book/movie. I think they just grow up.... He doesn't have much long for that voice!!

wow. ummm. my first thought when I read your post was vocal damage, but you know what, then I watched it and he's not reaching for those notes at all. they're just there. and he's singing it nice and lightly. and yah, sperlong is right, that voice is not long for this world.
anyway. he's cute and I want to take him home with me.

Well, if he's really a Vienna choirboy, then it's a whole system of education (exploitation?), that is different than "poor Charlotte". But my mom said the same thing. Reminded her of C.
Hmph. My YouTube never streams right, b/c I'm on wireless, so I don't really get the whole effect.

I can see Josiah doing that. And I'm kinda serious. I would love to see Josiah become a great singer. He doesn't have to master the Magic Flute, but I hope he has a beautiful singing voice. It's already sweet to hear. I loved watching this J!
