I heart Google

Dude! I know Google is like a major corporation and everything, so everything left and academic and humanities in me wants to be embarrassed for loving it. But it's time to just admit (like I haven't been) I LOVE GOOGLE!!!!

First there was the Google search engine, wh. has been my engine of choice forever.
Then Google Images.
Then Google Maps. (High five!)
Then Google Reader. (I love you!)
Then Google Video. (*kisses*)
And now Google Scholar! Does it get any better?! Seriously!!! This is like waaaaay better than WorldCat, which, I'm sorry, annoys me. You can browse through BOOKS. ONLINE. They have them scanned. You don't have to be all fiddly with search terms...just throw stuff out there and reap the benefits. my day is totally rocking!

Don't forget google Picasa, their free photo editing software. Very fun!

Well, that's one thing I don't do Google for. I run OSX, therefore get to use either iPhoto or the Gimp (something equal to Adobe that I can download for free because I use a Unix based OS).

I have issues with the new release of Google reader. I have to get used to the new interface. Otherwise, I heart Gooogle too.

Hmm, I have to check it out. I LOVE Gmail and I just recently started using the Google Calendar. It's pretty good!

I love the Gimp. And I don't think it's completely inconsistent with the left/academic/humanities side of you to love Google, because pretty much all the other left/academic/humanities people love it too.

Oh nifty! I haven't seen Google scholar before!

Now they just need to add one for soundclips.

Google scholar just saved me a trip to the library to find one teeny but essential piece of information. Hurrah!
