hey, ma, what's for lunch?
Every time I make a new installment of sweet potatoes, I think the jars all lined up are so pretty. Two humongus organic sweet potatoes, cooked in chicken/vegetable broth, seasoned with freshly grated nutmeg, cinnamon, and paprika, and pureed.
The jars are from Ikea. Perfect baby food jars. 5 oz glass jars with screw-on lids. I fill them not quite full and stick the whole jar in the freezer; avoiding the ice-cube tray hassle.

Oh my word you put me to shame. Poor Eden gets it plain straight from the microwave, hacked with a fork and plopped on a half clean tray.
BTW I never used the ice cube trays either. I used left over baby food jars.
They are very pretty, I love orange. Ellis is so handsome, he's changing so much!

I like your idea. I may pick some up tomorrow at IKEA. The four I currently have a spice jars...and we need more sweet potatoes. Oatmeal and apricots are the current rave at our house... :)
Hungry babies!

The Ikea jars do look perfect. I always hate fumbling w/the used baby food jars, trying to figure out if the tops even right for that jar. I may have to recycle my stash and do Phin w/Ikea.

The nice about the Ikea jars, too, as that when they're done being used for baby food, I can think of a bazillion other uses (like spices! which I love to buy in bulk).
