deadlines are your friend

I figured out today that I have about a month in which to write my thesis before it needs to start rolling towards defence and submission. I'm in turbo mode, which is why I'm posting at 2.30 am. I know I'm up late, when I'm still up when Ellis starts crying for his every three hour night time feed. (Seriously, they do grow out of this sometime, don't they?)

It's so complicated just trying to convey what is in a manuscript.

yeah I'm useless without deadlines.

if it were me, I'd be taking some action about the every-3-hours thing. maybe you're used to it, but we just couldnt function with that for as long as you have. I'd guess that his body is just used to that now, and he'd adjust to a better schedule if you guide him that way (which is me trying to find a nice way to say: let the kid cry it out).

He will grow out of it. Soon he'll be old enough for yogurt and it is as calorie rich as breastmilk per ounce and you can nurse him AND give him a container of yo baby and hunger will not wake him for many many hours (butteethmight). This season does pass, though!

Good luck with the writing! I'm horrible with deadlines lately, but I try to remind myself that nothing feels quite so good as finishing a significant piece of writing.
