making a list, checkin' it twice

yep, it's C'mas list time. I'm making lists, lists, lists...gifts to get and shopping ideas for us.

I may add to this list as I think of things.

Ellis

  • a "my first Christmas" ornament (I think Grandma might get this one)
  • a carseat a crib mattress (ask Chris what size)
  • cozy pants (size 6-12 mos)
  • jeans (size 6-12)
  • onesies and onepiece sleepers with feet (all size 6-12 mos)
  • a soft fleecy scarf just his size
  • socks (size 12 mos)
  • Kipper the Dog DVD (If you're not familiar with Kipper...well, all I have to say is, get familiar!! He's the BEST!)
  • Baby Einstein: Baby Van Gogh DVD
  • signing time DVD
  • toys with lights and mirrors (though preferably not with annoying sounds)--though he has plenty of toys; I don't even know why I'm putting this on the list! Don't get him toys, unless you're possessed with an irresistable urge and absolutely cannot think of anything else! And then think about it once more before you do.
  • Actually what he would really like is a mirror to play with (oooh! and/or bath mirror--he loves bath time). What I think would be really cool is a large mirror with a lightweight frame (like we used to have in the dorm), that we could lay on its side propped up against furniture or something, while he's on the floor playing.
  • a book of finger games

I love that, in the midst of all the little gift ideas for you, you've thrown in an iPod. I'm working on getting someone to give me one of those, too... we could be twins.

By the way, can I call dibs on something (not the iPod)? Or do you want it to be a surprise?
