stroller

I'm thinking about getting this stroller. I like that it's multi-terrain, smooth riding, durability, easy maneuverability, reclinable seat, all ages. It seems the only drawback is bulkiness for small cars, which I have. But this is the stroller we're buying with gift money for that purpose, and if I want a quickie, lighweight one, I can afford an umbrella stroller later, whereas I couldn't afford a good, solid stroller later. Whadya think?

I got an umbrella stroller for $4 at a garage sale and it works great. We're just now beginning to use it a lot. The only thing I don't like about it is that there's no easy place to store a diaper bag (obviously).

I'm wondering if you can persuade a customer service rep to allow you to fold up the Jeep stroller and try stashing it in your car. Really, you should find out if it will fit or not before buying it. Other than the size issue, it looks like a great stroller!

Jeanette, I have friends who have that stroller and are really happy with it. And they're experienced: they bought it after having one they were unhappy with. So I don't know if that helps or not, but I thought I'd put in my two cents. Happy anniversary to you and Chris, and we out here in Albuquerque are praying for you and little Elvis to be healthy and happy.

we were glad we got one our car seat carrier can snap into, but perhaps you're going to do the sling thing when he's small? the sling never worked well for either of us. plus we were really looking for a lightweight "regular" stroller, but if that's not a big deal to you, that one does look nice.

oops, that's from me, not her.

My stepsister (the one with the two-month-old kid) got a super-cool Graco stroller with the carrier that comes out and snaps into the car seat holder, and since they caught it at the end of the season (Graco apparently changes their patterns about 4 times a year), they got it way on sale and were able to get two bases, one for each car. They love it, and it's really heavy-duty, with tons of space for the diaper bag and all that. I'm not sure what constitues "way on sale" with a Graco stroller, but they're really happy with this and highly recommend it to others. I guess it's probably still an investment, but you can definitely use it down the road with the next Elvises! =)

Louisiana is freakin' hot, by the way. I'm sure you couldn't have guessed that. I'm glad you were able to save yourselves.

Update: I was talking to my mom, and apparently my stepsister got this Graco stroller for half price at Target. So go to a store just to check... they may not have anything, but it'd be worth looking if you could get one that cheap!

Before you settle on any stroller, I'd advise buying the 5th edition of the Baby Bargains book by Denise & Alan Fields. It's a great way to find out the best out there for all baby equipment or whatever will fit your bill. If you're looking for a wonderful compact stroller that reclines all the way, both the Peg Perego (which will see you through all of your kids) and the Inglesina are both great models...you'll spend a bit more for them but in the long run, it's worth it! Gook luck on finding the perfect one for your family!

I never use my big bulky Graco stroller. If I were to do it again, I'd buy a MacLaren (lightweight, high quality) and be done with it. A sling is easier for a small baby, anyway.

I've actually heard bad things about that particular model *blush*
