Ecco Belli!
Okay, the appointment is made.
On February 23 we'll get to find out if Elvis is a boy or a girl!! I can't WAIT!!! I'm so excited about this little marker in the pregnancy. I honestly have no idea or "premonitions" or anything. Some people feel strongly that they can just 'sense' what it is. Not me. If anything, sometimes I get into the groove of thinking he's a boy, because we keep calling him Elvis. So what do you think?
Vote now: boy or girl?
(Just leave a comment, since I'm not as skilled as some people and can make a little php thing in which you can lobby a vote.)
We had another appointment this morning. It's nice to have these every 3 week reality checks. Sometimes I start to freak out a little bit, like "What if I'm not really pregnant!?" (still. can you believe it?) Or start to worry that something is wrong. Or start to worry that what if it's really twins, and they just haven't been able to pick up on that yet (yea, right). But every 3 weeks I get a nice little reminder that everything is as normal as it could possibly be. The doctor didn't have to search for the heartbeat; there Elvis was right where she put the microphone down.
Anyway. Here are pics of my 17 week belly last week. Starting to get something to show for it. (Sorry. can't resist the opportunity to make a face.)

Well, I want to say boy, but it seems there are a lot of girls being born in 05. So I'll say boy just for the votes sake.

My vote is for a girl, but I, just like you, will go with the flow either way. =) By the way, I particularly like your typical pregnant-woman stance in the first picture with your hands on your back. And the face is a nice touch.

Bellum, Belli, Bello, Bellum, bello!
Bellam Mammam, I don't CARE what you have. Maybe another time, I will have an opinion, so bask in my unopinionated state! Cute pictures. If it's a girl , you will have to stop calling him Elvis, won't you?????

I forgot to say earlier, I wore drawstring pants, and I thought they were the greatest because they ALWAYS fit.

it will be a boy.
And you should call him Amenhotep. Someone really ought to bring that name back.

Boy.
Amazon has a lot of maternity clothes from various retailers. Might be a good place to check for sales on specific items (jeans, etc.) in one place.

Boy! Maybe because I had one first that everyone will have a boy first? But I think since you've been calling the baby Elvis that deep down it really has to be a boy. :) Thanks so much for a picture!! You look so darn cute. Wish I could see you pregnant, I'm sure you are one of those women who doesn't look pregnant except for the cute little ball out front, be glad!!

At any rate, whether girl or boy, I think the first is a special friend.

Ha! Linnea, that's hilarious. My first impulse was to try to read Amenhotep backwards.

I'm utterly unreliable at gender guesses, but I hate to be left out. I say "girl". Which naturally means, it will be a boy. :)
Ha. You look toooo cute though! Love that bump!
