what I have to do this summer
Okay. Instead of going through moments of panic. I'm just going to lay it all out in an organized fashion and proceed in an organized fashion.
Academic
- write papers:
1. for medieval music: something to do with Johannes de Muris/magister thing.
2. for Josquin (due over a year ago. *sigh*) on a psalm motet?
3. for 20th c. music (in the coming fall): something on minimalism? - do some reading in preparation for my seminar in Italy
- do the readings for the medieval survey for the fall
- plan out the class I'm teaching in the fall.
Work
I've been calling Banana Republic every day. I'm apparently very low on their priority list. What would be really nice if the class I'll be teaching in the fall was actually this summer. Then the finances would iron out a little more neatly...
Travel
- my sister's wedding
- Joanna's wedding
- Italy
Okay. one, two...let's go.

Jeannette, this new security measure of yours doesn't like me. I had a story to tell you and it wouldn't let me post. Let's see if it works this time. I put the story on my blog instead.

Sorry! I didn't implement anything! It could be your browser. Sometimes blogs won't let me post and if I try in another type of browser it works. Sorry!

What a fun and comprehensive list. It makes me tired. Did you ever call Whole Foods about your application there?
Hey, I noticed you adopted my "time flies" quote... isn't it great? It came on some forward full of quotes that I got from a friend back in high school, and I like to use it periodically. I'm glad you enjoyed it too.

Well, actually I liked it before you used it. :) It was my sister's senior quote, and I've been tickled by it every since. :)
