Mom and I arrived safe and sound, here in Chattanooga, right around 11:30pm last night. What should have been a 6.5-7 hour trip ended up taking 9 hours with only 1 stop. AHHHH! It took us about 3 hours to go about 100 miles. I-75 is under some sort of construction and essentially 3 lanes of traffic eventually have to funnel down to 1 lane. It was maddening how slow traffic was going. I did get pretty frustrated by the whole ordeal. After we stopped for gas mom ended up driving the rest of the way to Chattanooga.
I will NOT be going home on 75. Mom has gone another way using I-65. I am willing to try just about anything to avoid that craziness on the Sunday after Thanksgiving!
Thankfully we had a good Audio-book to listen to, we listened to Between, Georgia, by Joshilyn Jackson. We didn't finish it, I think we have about 2 discs left. Good book.
